Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel series Andordidn't consume the wonders of The Volume, unlike The Mandalorianand Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Attending this week's Television Critics Association plain tour, Andor creator Tony Gilroy explained to TVLinewhy it wasn't utilised this time around.

"Nobody's anti The Volume — The Volume is fantastic for the things that it's for," he aspired out, before suggesting Andor (starring Diego Luna once anti as the eponymous rebel spy) "is just on a massively epic scale, and people would be running off the set all the time".

The screenwriter/director continued: "Believe me, there were things we wish we could have done on The Volume, they might have been simpler! But our show is wide, it's huge, we have 211 revealing parts.

"I think if we have this conversation at the end of the show, it will be different, because the width and breadth and visual ambition and travelling ambition of the show is huge. It just didn't lend itself to that kind of production."

Away from techno-talk, Cassian Andor actor Luna recently weighed in on his reverse to a galaxy far, far away.

"I view it was going to be a one-time thing in my life, and I people it with my kids, and I saw it. I was ready to move on," he told Entertainment Weekly.

"Then I was posed to [return for the show], and it made negated sense. I had so much more to say and do with this role," Luna paused. "I just wanted to explore many things that I view about while I was shooting that a film would never give you to explore."

Andor premieres with three episodes on September 21, streaming on Disney+ . New episodes will then follow weekly.
