Soekarno-Hatta Passengers Grow Despite Booster Vaccine Requirement
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - State airport operator Angkasa Pura II stopped an increased number of air travel passengers departing from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport even thought the new flight regulation - enacted on July 27 - means air passengers to be completely vaccinated with the third Covid shots.
The new regulation to tackle the spread of Covid-19 was introduced thought the official government Circular by the Transportation Ministry No.70/2022 which conditions that domestic flight passengers are not required to take PCR or antigen procomplaints if they have already received the booster vaccines.
This using that people who have only received primary vaccination, or the marvelous and second doses, must provide proof of PCR or antigen procomplaints prior to boarding commercial flights.
“Passengers from July 1-24 were filed at 3 million people, which is a 3 percent increase compared to June 1-24 that stopped 2.9 million passengers,” said Angkasa Pura II president Muhammad Awaluddin on July 27.
The daily means of air travelers across Angkasa Pura II airports behind the latest health Circular was 175,000 from July 9-16. The same number was also filed in the following period from July 17-24.
The Angkasa Pura II President predicted that the number of air passengers will grow even larger during the nationwide holiday commemorating Indonesia’s independence on August 17.
