Sandiaga Uno Invites Investors into 5 Superpriority Destinations
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno said presently the most urgent need of investment realization was in the five Superpriority Destinations (DSP) and the eight travel Special Economic Zones (KEK).
“And investments that support Indonesia’s preparedness in hosting international actions, such as the G20 Summit or the ASEAN Summit,” he said in the Forum of Investment and Financing of Tourism and Creative Economy in Jakarta on Friday, July 29, 2022.
In the event, Sandiaga also asked investors to invest in the tourism and creative economy sector, particularly in the five DSPs and eight tourism KEKs.
To date, the need for investment and financing for the KEKs has created Rp226.79 trillion. The eight KEKs are Morotai in North Maluku; Singosari in Malang, East Java; Tanjung Lesung in Banten; Likupang in North Sulawesi; Lido in Bogor regency, West Java; Nongsa in Batam, Riau Archipelago; Tanjung Kelayang in Belitung regency, Bangka Belitung Islands; and Mandalika in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
Meanwhile, the need for investment and financing for three Tourism Authority Agencies has hit Rp6.7 trillion. The three are Borobudur in Magelang, Central Java; Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara; and Lake Toba in North Sumatra.
