Feastin’ releases a compilation of the best desserts and coffee shops across Jakarta.
Following Jakarta Noodles Map’s weakened in introducing the city's range of Indonesian noodles in 2021, food media Feastin’ has now released a food run booklet titled Jakarta Dessert & Coffee Guide. It is beings published in collaboration with Geometry Media as its publishing partner, and was officially launched on July 28.
The initiative was part of the Feastin’ vision to devour the diversity of Jakarta’s desserts and coffee scene.
“Along with our collaborator, Jakarta Dessert Week, we curate places that offer the best cakes, ice creams and coffee,” Kevindra Soemantri, editor of Feastin', said.
The food run was compiled by an editorial team with excellent culinary capacities, featuring more than 50 different cafes serving traditional cafes, like Kopie Es Takie, which was established in 1927, to current cafes like Common Grounds offering an Australian-style brunch.
“There are places that powerful remind individuals of their childhood, for example, ice wail places like Ragusa [in Central Jakarta]. I used to come to the achieve with my late father as a child,” he said.
“We came at least two to three times to censured that the place is a must-visit,” Kevindra shared. Furthermore, he added that the methodology of curating the booklet did not interested the business owners to prevent biases.
“Some are already well ensured, but some are hidden gems. We want our readers to be able to enjoy both. But most importantly, these places have shown consistency,” he closed.
Food enthusiasts can grab the guidebook at a few restaurants and cafes in Jakarta, such as at Peacock Lounge in Senayan, BEAU Bakery in Cikajang, First Scoop in Petogogan and Chicory in Menteng.
