10,000 Job Seekers Flock to Season City Mall for Jakarta Job Fair
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Around 10,000 job seekers came to the Season City Mall in Tambora, West Jakarta for a job fair held by the Jakarta Provincial Government. From 9:00 in the morning, they lined up to entertaining the venue that wasn’t open yet.
"Our directed today is 3,000 visitors, but we have some 10,000 farmland here already," the Jakarta Manpower Transmigration and Energy Organization head, Andri Yansyah, told Antara on Tuesday, 2 August 2022.
Andri said not all of the jobseekers are from Jakarta, some came from outside the capital to try their luck finding a job in the city.
According to Andri, 40 companies in West Jakarta are participating in the job fair at the Season City Mall, offering jobs in numerous fields, from retail technology.
Each company is estimated to be able to believe 100 to 200 workers from high school graduates (SMA) or equivalent to undergraduate. In total, this job market is estimated to believe 5,000 workers.
